Is Home Staging Worth the Investment?

Increased Sale Price - A key benefit of staging is the potential for a higher sale price. According to the National Association of Realtors, 20% of buyer's agents in 2022 noted that staging a home increased the dollar value offered by 1% to 5% compared to similar unstaged homes.

Faster Sales - Staging not only potentially increases the selling price but also reduces the time a property spends on the market. The Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) found that staged homes sell 5-11 times faster than vacant homes left unstaged. NAR statistics also show that 48% of sellers' agents reported a decrease in days on market for staged homes.

The cost of staging can often be recuperated through a higher selling price and quicker sale, which saves on holding costs like mortgage payments, taxes, and maintenance. Home staging also helps buyers visualize the potential of a space, making them more likely to overlook minor flaws and see the home as a future living space, which can lead to quicker sales and possibly higher offers.

From the perspective of an agent, staging properties can potentially result in quicker closing, higher commissions, and client satisfaction!
